Well, here we go again. For those of you who are out of the loop, Tom Drea is the creative force behind a blog chronicling the goings-on of a popular reality show called "The Bachelor", and he is sure that this is a productive way to spend his time.
This week, he judges the series' selection of women who will appear on the upcoming season. One by one, he mocks the actresses by making cogent remarks about how reality TV is not actually real. I wonder who he thinks will win the second season of Survivor?

It's like he doesn't know that reality TV is meant to be irreverent, and that any attempt to critique it ironically isn't clever, it just takes a piece of work that someone spent time on and is proud of and makes it into an object of mockery. He is wrong for telling someone how to express themselves. But he also has a quality that resembles something from the media I can make a joke about, so you don't have to think about how judgmental I'm being!

So keep on reading "This is Brutal", I just listed all the reasons that it is a waste of your time but if you don't read it then you can't understand my blog about it, which is a good way to spend your time.
